Six fixes, in order of likelihood

1. Wait 60 seconds, then resend. The first OTP is rate-limited on most Indian carriers; the second send usually arrives instantly.
2. Check your SMS spam folder. Many Android phones (Samsung, Xiaomi, Realme) auto-categorise transactional SMS into “Promotions” or “Spam”.
3. Disable DND for transactional SMS. Dial 1909 from your registered number, follow the prompts to opt out of DND for transactional category. Wait 24 hours for it to take effect — or contact your carrier.
4. Confirm the number is correct. Look for a stray space or digit error in the registration field. Indian numbers are 10 digits without country code on the platform.
5. Switch network briefly. Toggle from Wi-Fi to mobile data (or vice versa). Some Wi-Fi networks block international-routed transactional SMS.
6. Submit a support ticket if all of the above fail. Subject: “OTP delivery failure”. Include your number, exact registration timestamp, and screenshot of the OTP screen.

Why OTPs fail to arrive (the technical reason)

Indian mobile networks separate SMS into transactional (passwords, OTPs, bank alerts) and promotional (marketing). Operators throttle promotional SMS aggressively. If the platform’s SMS aggregator is mis-classified as promotional — or your number is on full-DND — the OTP gets silently dropped.

This is not specific to Daman. The same fixes work for OTPs from any Indian platform.

How long is the OTP valid?

Standard validity is 60 seconds. After that you need to resend. Don’t enter an old OTP — the platform locks the account for 5 minutes after 3 wrong attempts as a security measure.
